Men and women on equal footing

Men and women on a level playing field

With the new figurines created by Bonzini designers, the iconic B90 Original officially became unisex last May. This is a long-awaited initiative that reflects the shared passion for table football.

For Bonzini, the presence of female players on table football pitches is nothing new. The Bagnolet-based company was a pioneer, manufacturing sportswomen for its collections in 2006. Dressed in a skort at the time, it has been modernized and now has a look closer to that of the original player. Because the design of this figurine reflects the spirit of the times, and it resembles its male counterpart in shape and color.

Behind this new product lies the encounter between two women: at the helm of the Bonzini family business, Ingrid Bergaglia is obviously passionate about table football. Opposite her is Nicole Abar, a former eight-time French champion in the 1980s and the league's top scorer in 1983. Above all, she is the instigator of a finally mixed-gender approach to football, just like in real life, in short. The founder of the "Liberté aux joueuses" association entered the field almost by chance. She was watching a match and was asked to replace a player! At 11, she earned her first license in Toulouse, and the idea of gender equality has never left her since.

A feminine silhouette, curves, and a soccer player's outfit!

Playing foosball with women and men on the field is now possible! For Nicole Abar, gender equality in sport is a given. And, beyond an activist approach, it can also be seen as a matter of common sense. The new Bonzini player is athletic and looks the part. She's simply normal, with a feminine silhouette, curves, and a soccer player's outfit!

This is how the iconic Bonzini B90 Original model, made of beech wood—the one experts know well, as it's the B60 but without a coin slot—is now available in a unisex version. It features 11 male and 11 female players, divided into each team and occupying positions in defense, attack, midfield, and goalkeeper. The 13-centimeter, 110-gram figurines were designed by Fred Dumur, who has been part of the Bonzini adventure for many years.

Hand-decorated with oven-baked paint, the players are made of aluminum. Attached to the pole with high-strength screws, they're just waiting for you to play wild matches with friends or family. And may the best win!
