Stella table football: a success story that continues!

Stella Retro Table Football

The Stella adventure began in 1928.

It was on the eve of the Second World War that Mr. Auguste Sarrault, the first president of the French Confederation of Automation, imagined his very first table football. Already the creator of numerous games of skill and counter games, Mr. Sarrault reached the peak of his art by imagining a legendary table football that will remain forever etched in the memory of players across generations. Its name: the table football Stella Champion.

As a side note, the table football Champion of 1928 already had players capable of blocking the ball with their heads. It included inclined side bands to be able to make lobs. These two technical features have since become true traditions at Stella.

The Champion model reached the height of its success in 1948. Now considered a retro table football (this nickname has also become its official name), it remains rigorously identical to the current Stella Champion table football.

It features the irreplaceable telescopic steel bars, the famous yellow/red color combination that delights purists, as well as the vertical legs equipped with shoes. It was first marketed in late 1959, when it was replaced by its more modern version, the current Champion model.

In 1995, Michel Mandin (the current director) took over the reins of the company. Under his direction, new models appeared, more "family" models and others specially dedicated to export. United States, Eastern Europe, Africa, Stella is everywhere! Franck Riberi himself has a Stella foosball table at home...

Currently, the Stella foosball table catalog includes more than ten different models, suitable for all levels and uses, for individuals and communities, delighting amateur and professional players around the world.
