The history of Roberto Sport table football dates back to 1947!
No mistake in the title, the Roberto Sport table football are indeed 68 years old! Armed with an unwavering desire to create the most beautiful, enjoyable, and, above all, the most durable table football tables on the planet, Roberto Sport quickly became an iconic figure in the table football world. Over the years and with its experience, the Italian company has risen to the top of the professional table football manufacturer. Each generation has thus seen a beautiful legacy of know-how and technical innovations passed down to them. The brand's starting point was initiated by Robert Armido and his brother Luigi over 60 years ago. At the time, Roberto Sport produced sporting goods. It was only 8 years later that the two brothers understood the potential of this leisure equipment, which had just arrived in Italy. The use of wood initially seemed obvious. However, manufacturing quickly proved to be long and expensive. But in the mid-1950s, a new material made waves and promised to revolutionize the world of baby products: plastic!
At the beginning of the 1970s, the two brothers split up and Armido now held the reins of the company alone. In 1986, he passed the torch to a certain Marco Borettaz, director of a plastic molding company in Val d'Aosta. In 1990, the company moved to Lessolo, a 2,400 m² warehouse entirely dedicated to production. In 1990, sales took off, and exports soared! Today, Roberto Sport still boasts a very impressive export volume: 60% of sales are made abroad!
Roberto Sport was in Turin!
What could be more natural for the number one in professional table football than to attend a World Cup? Roberto Sport's new management was therefore present during the four intense days that punctuated the table football world championships. A new management team composed of Alessandro and Paola Borettaz (left and right), the children of Marc Borretaz, one of the company's founding fathers.
Remember that Roberto Sport was a partner of this long-awaited event. For the Italian manufacturer, table football is more of a religion than a simple passion!
