To raise public awareness about the feminization of football, Crédit Agricole had the brilliant idea of creating the very first table football tournament reserved exclusively for women. Because female players are capable of the same feats as male players, whether on a grass or Gerflex pitch!
A women's foosball tournament: a powerful symbol!
Because there are still too many prejudices in the world of sport, and especially in football, Crédit Agricole has found a fun and innovative way to raise public awareness about the feminization of football: foosball, of course! What's better than a kicker to bring people together and draw their attention to social issues? To ensure the event received the media coverage it deserved, guest stars such as Muriel Robin, Anne Le Nen, and Firmine Richard were on hand. The many players in attendance enjoyed performing the most technical shots on a very feminine-style foosball table, specially designed for the event. And it was Ms. Muriel Robin who won the title of champion of the first women's foosball tournament!
An unusual table football created especially for the event
Resembling strangely a table football Roberto Sport, the game table designed for this friendly competition has been given a very feminine touch. The traditional players have been replaced by female players with long hair... but just as capable of powerful shots! The cash register and the pitch have also received special attention, with pastel-toned paint. Don't be fooled by its apparent fragility: it's a real bar foosball table!
