As real as table football?
Purists can rest assured, Koliseum Soccer VR is not intended to replace their good old foosball table made of wood and steel. This VR foosball simulation is best seen as the evolution of a "classic" intended to introduce a younger generation, keen on digital technology and ultra-realistic video games, to the joys of the little ball. And the Geneva-based company Kynoa seems poised to achieve just that.
The game is operated using an Oculus Rift headset and two metal-rod-shaped gamepads. The idea is to retain as much of the authentic gaming experience as possible without losing too much realism during the transition to a video game. Old-school players will likely need a few games to get used to this new gameplay. Younger players, on the other hand, will find their feet in just a few minutes. Not everything is perfect yet—including some ball trajectory issues—but the developers are actively working on all the "inaccuracies" that could affect the quality of this title.
