Sébastien Meckes, the Zidane of table football!

Sébastien Meckes, the Zidane of table football!

Sébastien Meckes

If you run into Sébastien Meckes in a café, immediately forget the idea of challenging him to table football!

The young Alsatian from Monswiller, a village near Saverne, is unparalleled when it comes to scoring goals from the top corner. Naturally, this table football prodigy became close to the French table football team. And naturally, he became a key player. Let's recall his feat at the 2013 World Championship: during a wild final against the United States, he was the one who gave the French team the winning point.

He discovered his passion in high school, between classes. He began his career in bars (on Bonzini table football!) and small tournaments, and today he competes against the best players on the planet, all the way to Las Vegas.

Both a ball technician and a master strategist, Sébastien Meckes is one of the best players in the world and the most calculating and precise left-hander in the sport. One of his strengths is his ability to anticipate his opponents' shots. Like in a game of poker, Sébastien knows when the player opposite is about to make a big move or if he's bluffing... He himself enjoys this comparison, even boasting of sporting a very "Poker Tour" look during competitions.

When a fan asks him to put on a show, Sébastien Meckes pulls out his best move: the helicopter. The players circle around the ball, seem to multiply with the speed effect and mysteriously, two seconds later, the ball is in the back of the goal.

In preparation for the next table football world cup, the young champion is training hard, more than 10 hours a week. Technique, strategy, training, and motivation... he has all the assets to dazzle us next year!

Perhaps we could have him play against the robot foosball player from the students at the Automation Laboratory? What a match that would be! Man versus Machine, the bets are open!

For a match of titans, you need a table football that's up to the task, like a Sulpie Competition table football for example:
