It's no secret that sport is the heartbeat of the people of Marseille! The Departmental Archives have put together an exhibition retracing the history of sport with an impressive collection of objects, documents, and reports from the world of sport. The exhibition's code name: Histoires des Sports. And yes, table football is also represented!
The history of sports in an interactive scenography
With more than 180 objects, trophies, documents, and reports of all kinds scattered throughout the exhibition, visitors won't know where to look! The exhibition features a dynamic, digital, and, above all, interactive scenography that will appeal to enthusiasts and novices alike. Young and old alike will immerse themselves in the sporting experience to understand its social and human virtues and grasp all the emotion. There's even a giant foosball player featuring Zidane on display!
An exhibition on several levels
First in the lobby, visitors will be invited to discover the "Cube," a digital space where the immense collection of photographs from the Marseille Excursionists Association awaits.
On the first floor, in the Departmental Library, gamers are in the spotlight. The theme of video games is well represented thanks to the numerous consoles and simulators available to visitors. There's even a Just Dance area for the bravest! Activities, shows, conferences, workshops, and meet-and-greets with video game celebrities will be held until April.
