Turkish authorities have officially announced: table football is no longer on the list of prohibited games! For 48 years, table football was deemed by the Constitutional Court to be an unhealthy and harmful activity. Today, the court has forgotten its grievances against table football and now considers it an ordinary game... and one that's actually beneficial for the brain!

For almost half a century, the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade considered table football to have a negative impact on both family life and work. Considered a game of chance, its "random" and "addictive" nature posed a threat to public order. Purchasing or simply participating in a table football game was considered a crime and punishable by law with a 5-year prison sentence. But those days are well and truly over! The "decadent" image unfairly given to the baby by the authorities is now a thing of the past. The kicker seems to be rebuilding its reputation throughout the country. This is the main argument used by the Constitutional Court in its verdict: table football is beneficial because it exercises the brain! Deeming the game intelligent and no longer harmful, the Court definitively lifted the ban on the sale of tables in the country. Buying a FAS table football is no longer a crime in Turkey! Even though the Constitutional Court is urging authorities to no longer consider gambling a crime, it is still highly regulated. It is not yet possible to play pinball or roulette freely...
