What if foosball became a weapon of mass awareness? This is the somewhat crazy gamble that the Suhanj association has taken with its latest project, called "Table Integration Soccer."
Using the table football to break down prejudices is the brilliant idea that inspired Suhanj for its latest awareness campaign. This Hungarian association, which works for the integration of people with disabilities, has opted for a table football unlike any other to convey a very simple message: sport is accessible to all, and above all, it's more fun together!
An ordinary table soccer table, only in appearance...
From the outside, the "Integration Table Soccer" table soccer table designed by Suhanj looks completely ordinary. The shape of its body and its glass playing field immediately bring to mind a Roberto Sport Export table football. You have to get a little closer to understand its purpose. Look closely at the players... can't you see anything? Yes, some "disabled" figurines play alongside the regular players. A prosthetic leg, a wheelchair, dark glasses, and a white cane—each of them represents a disability.
Figures to raise awareness among bar patrons
To bring its table football to life, the Suhanj association partnered with the advertising agency Grey Budapest. The figures were developed specifically for the needs of the communication campaign. Several tables were thus created and installed in bars for customers. The success was immediate and the message was well received. A very clever publicity stunt that got more than one person thinking!
