From December 19th to 22nd, the Foosball World Cup is taking over the Palais des Sports in Nantes!
The French Table Soccer Federation and the International Table Soccer Federation have put together the most beautiful university table soccer tournament ever organized. For the 6th time, the beautiful city of Nantes, the promised land of table soccer, is hosting the very prestigious Table Soccer World Cup.
This 6th edition in Nantes will also be the last! The International Table Soccer Federation has decided, for the next World Cup, to allow another city to benefit from the benefits of such an event. Who will be the lucky winner? A mystery for the moment.
Whatever happens, the final edition in Nantes promises you great sensations for a truly beautiful finale. With some 500 table football players from over 40 countries, the Beaulieu sports hall will be transformed into a veritable arena from which only one team will emerge victorious. This table football marathon will span no fewer than four days. Four days during which more than 3,500 matches will be played. It's serious business!
For this 2013 World Cup, the French men's team, the current world champion, will not rest on its laurels and will face off against American, English, and Belgian teams at the top of their game. The entire elite men's and, of course, women's teams from the youth, senior, and veteran categories, as well as the disabled players from each country, will pit their talents against the best players on the planet.
France Bleu Loire Océan cameras will cover the event to bring you (as if you were there) the atmosphere of this magnificent 2013 table football world cup.
An atmosphere that promises to be electric for the last of the last!
